DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Psychological Services Specialist, you will function with considerable independence to provide psychological services to an identified caseload of individuals who reside at the facility. You will have the opportunity to serve as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and as a member of facility and statewide work groups. Work involves delivering direct service care to patients on assigned units, providing the highest quality of treatment and therapeutic opportunities to enhance the clients’ quality of life based on the needs of their individual recovery. Additionally, you will work to resolve any routine obstacles, both directly and with the help of a supervisor.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work schedule may change based on operational needs.
Telework:
You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
A master’s degree in a behavioral science, counseling education, rehabilitation, human development or a closely related field.
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Other Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
