Substance Abuse Counselor Valiant Punta Gorda, Addiction Treatment Center Punta Gorda, FL 33950 About us Valiant Punta Gorda, Addiction Treatment Center is a small Christian Based company in Punta Gorda, FL. We’re looking to hire a counselor with a background in addiction and Mental health to work with our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience working with clients who have substance abuse / mental health issues. This position will require regular one-on-one sessions with clients, as well as group counseling sessions. An ideal candidate will be able to effectively assist individuals with their mental health, substance abuse issues, spiritual growth, trauma, and process addictions. Part and full time position available.

Responsibilities:

Provide individual, group, family and aftercare counseling. Complete daily required paperwork for each client in EMR system. Client Assessments, treatment plans, etc. Communicates and works effectively with other team members Understand and comply with DCF / Joint commission requirements Understands and adheres to company policies and procedures Qualified individuals must have a minimum of one of the following credentials to be state qualified for this position. Note that wage range ins dependent on degree / certification. BA or higher in RELATED field, CAC (IC&RC) Certified with the Florida Certification Board (Behavioral Health) Valiant Recovery is a drug free work place, employees are required to remain abstinent from all addictive substances, and will be randomly drug tested.
