Full Job Description Position Overview :

Coordinates access to managed care networks, insurance eligibility/verification/transfers and assist with referrals as needed for children in foster care and in residential treatment.

Position Qualifications :

Experience, expertise, and knowledge of: Managed Care policies and operations Medical/Clinic Front/Back-office experience including EHR. Some exposure to unique complex needs of the specialized populations/medically fragile. Prior authorizations Medicaid Treatment Planning and Discharge Planning staff must comply with all the following: Be at least 21 years of age. Meet educational requirements of at least a bachelor’s degree or high school diploma or equivalent experience.

Medicaid Exclusion List Receive training that is commensurate with the intensity, scope, and duration of the needs of the children served.

Training must include the following:

Mandated reporter Risk and safety Trauma-informed care Family engagement Basic child development Current certification by the American Red Cross (or an equivalent) in First Aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (will certify upon hire if needed) Additional training for health care needs of children which are age and need appropriate.
