Part Time Fire Fighter – 12 Hour Shift City of Crystal River (FL) Crystal River, FL 34428 JOB Contributes to the comprehensive Crystal River Fire Department. Requires the ability to be an advocate for patient care, performs technical and specialized work functions associated with providing quality medical care to all members of the community in the event of medical emergencies, the prevention, control, and suppression of fire, natural disasters, hazardous situations, environmental emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, and other life and death situations.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responds to fire alarms and emergency medical service calls with other personnel, lays and connects hose, raises and climbs ladders, searches structures to locate persons trapped or injured, uses hand tools to ventilate structures, operates motor vehicles, administers first aid, performs CPR and other emergency medical procedures as required.
• Carry out all instructions and orders given by line officers.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion in decision making and all phases of responsibilities.
• Performs other duties as required.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION CERTIFICATES & LICENSES

• Hazardous Materials Operations Level
• Incident Command (1-100, 1-200, 1-700, 1-800)
• Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC)
• Pump Operator.
• Instructor I (Preferred)
