⚐ ⚑ ⚑ Junior Lawyer – Real Estate Law Experience (Must Be NY Licensed) (New York/Brooklyn) compensation: To be discussed- employment type: experience level: entry level job title: Real Estate Lawyer We’re seeking a junior attorney, licensed in New York, who is looking to gain hands-on experience in real estate law and transactions. This is an opportunity to observe and assist with real closings and legal processes while learning directly from an experienced real estate lawyer. This role is ideal for a licensed lawyer looking to deepen their understanding of residential and commercial real estate transactions.
What You’ll Be Exposed To:
- Drafting and reviewing purchase and sale agreements, leases, and closing documents
- Title review and resolution of title issues
- Communication with clients, lenders, title companies, and brokers
- Coordinating closing timelines, document execution, and fund transfers
- Understanding contract contingencies, escrow, and due diligence procedures
- Learning the legal workflow behind closings from contract to deed recording
- Navigating NY State real estate regulations and compliance
- Occasionally assisting with real estate-related litigation, such as:
- Breach of contract disputes
- Landlord-tenant matters
- Enforcement of contract agreements ✅
Requirements:
- Active New York State Bar license
- Strong interest in real estate law and transactional practice
- Professional, organized, and eager to learn by doing
