Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Bankruptcy Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chapter 7 and chapter 13 consumer bankruptcy. Bilingual/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Assist attorney with case management, court filings, gather required documents and organize files
• Prepare cases, e-file petitions in bankruptcy court, and serve legal documents
• Coordinate communication between clients, trustees, courts, and attorney
• Maintain electronic case files and ensure all documents are filed correctly
• Assist in drafting legal correspondence and bankruptcy petitions
• Conduct client intake, legal research and analysis
• Communicate with clients to provide case status and address client concerns

Skills:

• Proficiency with Bestcase/Stretto, Clio Legal Management software
• Must have at least two years of consumer bankruptcy experience
• Strong knowledge of bankruptcy laws, court procedures and documentation requirements
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Proficient research skills
• Possess a high level of accuracy with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently
• Bilingual/Spanish highly preferred
