Job Description

PIP Paralegal 5.0 5.0 out of 5 stars Fair Lawn, NJ 07410 We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal with at least two years of experience handling New Jersey PIP (No-Fault/Personal Injury Protection) arbitration cases, with a strong emphasis on fee scheduling according to the NJ PIP Fee Schedule. Additionally, the ideal candidate will handle NJ Workers’ Compensation medical provider claims cases, NJ Commercial (ER/Surprise bill) Arbitrations (IDRs) and NY Commercial (ER/Surprise bill) Arbitrations (IDRs).

Responsibilities :
NJ WC:

Paralegal will handle appeals of newly referred cases, as well as the subsequent filing of matters via NJ eCourts WC Portal login (called CourtsOnline). Responsible for supporting the attorney on filed cases by preparing motions, helping assemble discovery/interrogatory responses, preparing exemplar EOB/comp “proof” packages to support settlement demands. NJ Commercial Arbs (Surprise Bill Arbitration) Paralegal will handle appeals of newly referred cases, assembling submission briefs, as well as the subsequent filing of matters via the Maximus portal. Responsible for communicating with clients to confirm additional payments and any required additional information. Responsible for monitoring Maximus portal for decisions, requests for additional information, etc. NY IDR Commercial Arbs (Surprise Bill Arbitration) Paralegal will handle appeals of newly referred cases, assembling submission briefs, as well as the subsequent filing of matters via the NY DFS portal. Responsible for preparing briefs, assembling UCR (usual, customary, reasonable) evidence, create “fee schedule” charts, and communicate with clients for input as needed. NJ PIP Paralegal will handle appeals of newly referred cases, as well as the subsequent filing of matters via the NJ Forthright portal

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree Minimum two years of relevant paralegal experience. Strong understanding of NJ PIP Fee Schedule and arbitration processes. Experience with NJ Workers’ Compensation and medical provider claims. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, cpt codes, and EOBs. Ability to manage cases efficiently in a fast-paced legal environment. #IND2

$65,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
