This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs that adhere to OSHA regulations and promote occupational health standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of environmental health and safety (EHS) practices, as well as the ability to conduct training and develop effective safety policies.
MUST HAVE OSHA
510 and/or 500 Duties Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions. Prepare detailed reports on safety incidents, investigations, and compliance audits. Lead training sessions for employees on safety protocols, first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures. Collaborate with management to assess risks and develop strategies for accident prevention. Oversee the workers’ compensation process, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up on claims. Facilitate root cause analysis for incidents to prevent future occurrences. Stay updated on industry best practices related to occupational health and safety. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred. Proven experience in safety management or a related role within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, EHS regulations, and workers’ compensation law. Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly. Experience in training development with a focus on safety practices. Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable. Ability to fabricate solutions for unique safety challenges as they arise. Strong analytical skills with experience in root cause analysis methodologies. Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail. This position is essential for fostering a culture of safety within the organization while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
