We’re seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support EHS oversight for a major industrial electrical installation project in Rochester, NY. This short-term contract is ideal for professionals who are hands-on in the field, excel at LOTO and
NFPA 70E
compliance, and are committed to maintaining a culture of safety on fast-paced job sites.

PM Project Scope:
This position provides full-time safety oversight during the installation of electrical systems at a large industrial site. The Safety Manager will focus on ensuring compliance with NFPA 70E and LOTO procedures, assist with daily safety meetings, maintain accurate documentation, and drive active participation across all site activities. You’ll be overseeing a crew of 70, reporting to the Foreman and Project Manager, and ensuring best-in-class safety standards are upheld.
Qualifications:
BA in Safety or related field + 3 years of experience OR BCSP Certification (CHST or higher) + 5 years of experience
OR OSHA 500/510 + 7
years of experience
Additional Requirements:
Strong working knowledge of NFPA 70E and LOTO procedures Experience leading safety for large crews in industrial environments Excellent communication and leadership skills Active participation in daily meetings and job walks Personal laptop/tablet for safety documentation
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all site safety for electrical installation activities Enforce LOTO procedures and electrical safety compliance Conduct daily safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments Lead site orientations, toolbox talks, and safety refreshers Maintain thorough safety documentation and submit reports as required Coordinate with site Foreman, Project Manager, and field teams Ensure proactive hazard control and mitigation across all tasks
Skills:
In-depth understanding of
OSHA 1926/1910
standards and electrical safety Strong documentation, communication, and leadership abilities Ability to manage site compliance in an active, high-energy environment Proficiency in safety reporting and recordkeeping
Knowledge Base:
Extensive experience with
NFPA 70E, LOTO
protocols, industrial electrical installation, and large-team safety management. Prior experience on high-hazard industrial sites strongly preferred.
