Office Description:
Thorough understanding of school safety policies, emergency preparedness, and compliance
reporting. Ability to support and coordinate safety compliance efforts, assist in threat assessment
processes, and collaborate with school principals, local law enforcement, and other multi-
disciplinary teams. Ability to develop and conduct training, prepare reports, and maintain school
safety compliance documentation. Ability to identify patterns, apply innovative solutions and
leverage software applications to streamline the workload.
Job Summary:
To support the Director of School Safety and Emergency Operations in all areas relating to school safety
compliance and to assist in implementing district-wide safety protocols.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution.
2. Four (4) years of experience in the K-12 environment or public safety/emergency management role.
3. Demonstrate knowledge of the Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Act, Florida Rule 6A-1.0018 and 6A-1.0019.
4. Strong organizational and analytical skills.
5. Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening.
