- Days Come join the Periop team in a unique role that combines quality, safety and project management across the NYP enterprise.
You will collaborate with departmental Leaders as well as quality and patient safety peers across the institution to develop, manage, and monitor performance improvement and patient safety initiatives. Execute patient safety goals, enhances a culture of safety and communication. Develop, coordinate, and manage performance improvement collaborative programs. Actively direct and oversee all Quality Reviews, KEEPSAFE reports, RCAs, and grievances. Chairs/co-chairs departmental committees. Direct initiatives for Periop Safety, Infection Control and Quality PI Projects. Oversee all policy and procedure reviews. Serve as subject matter expert in perioperative standards and patient safety initiatives. Bring your organization and detail-oriented talent to this integral role on the Periop team! This is a full-time position at NYP/Weill Cornell Medical Center working Monday through Friday 8am-4pm, with no weekends or holidays. Must be willing to travel between campuses. Preferred Criteria Master’s degree in a related field Clinical Licensure Project Management Professional (PMP) Six-Sigma / Lean 3+ years Project Management experience; ability to plan and lead project, facilitate project scope, develop project plans, manage timelines, and provide direction and support to project team. Required Criteria Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience 5+ years of experience in a healthcare related position, preferably in Quality and Performance Improvement, with minimum 2 years of in-room procedure/perioperative experience Advanced skills with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other web-based applications Strong analytical/problem-solving, critical thinking, and idea-generating ability Strong team building ability: effectively able to motivate, engage and encourage team participation Familiarity with quality and performance improvement methods Excellent communication skills, both oral and written High degree of customer sensitivity and attention to detail Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
