The Virtual Safety Monitor provides continuous remote observation and verbal redirection to ensure patient safety. This role emphasizes maintaining patient dignity and privacy while promptly communicating with on-site staff about any immediate safety concerns. The position requires adherence to patient confidentiality and institutional policies.

Roles and Responsibilities :

Operate the TeleSitter® system, maintaining continuous observation and verbal redirection for up to 16 patients simultaneously. Communicate behavioral changes to on-site staff promptly and clearly. Participate in shift reports, sharing and reviewing pertinent patient information. Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify and address patient safety concerns. Ensure patient privacy, dignity, and environmental safety at all times.

Required Skills and Experience:

High school diploma, G.E.D, or equivalent experience with general knowledge of hospital operations. Completion of hospital orientation and training. Minimum 1 year of experience in patient care, hospital environments, or a related field. Proficiency in operating computer systems and multitasking. Effective communication skills, including the ability to use microphones, headsets, and webcams.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Prior experience in a clinical or healthcare setting. Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and basic computer applications.

Physical Requirements:

Continuous visual monitoring of digital displays with the ability to remain alert for prolonged periods. Frequent verbal communication using audio devices. Light physical tasks, such as adjusting computer equipment (less than 10 pounds). Cognitive ability to multitask and prioritize simultaneous safety concerns effectively. Work is performed in a remote or office-based setting with minimal environmental exposure.

Three 12-hour shifts 7am – 7pm with every other weekend as assigned 0% Travel can be expected in this role
