The System includes CentraState Medical Center a community-based hospital, an ambulatory campus, three senior living facilities and three free-standing community health pavilions, and a charitable foundation. Provides security to the facility, employees, equipment, supplies and drugs. Control visitor traffic around the facility with the general welfare and safety of patients, visitors and employees being the primary goal. Responsibilities Promotes safe practices and reports any conditions which may affect the health and safety of all workers.
Makes regular tours of the facility and parking lots in order to detect safety and fire hazards, conditions that may breed theft and suspicious looking persons.
Locks and unlocks doors as required.
Assists in conducting fire drills and responds in actual emergencies.
Escorts off-shift employees to their cars.
Maintains safety log. Qualifications High School Diploma Or Equivalent Required
Must Complete assigned education by Crisis Prevention Institute.
Customer Service and De-escalation skills required.
Experience with mental health and memory disorders strongly preferred.
Prior security experience a plus.
A valid NJ driver’s license Required
Non-violent Crisis Intervention certification required. hires must receive certification within 3 months of hire. Renewal certifications will be completed every 2 years.
Must complete assigned education provided by Crisis Prevention Institute.
Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively relate with all members of the healthcare team.
For visitor control responsibilities, must have:
- Basic Computer Knowledge
- Mindfulness of surroundings (suspicious packages, people etc.)
- Skills in dealing with visitors/contractors reluctant to abide with visitor control requirements.

Compensation Range:
$16.00

60 per hour The compensation above reflects the established range from CentraState Healthcare System (CSHS) for this position at the time the job was posted. CSHS considers many factors to determine compensation, including education, experience, skills, licenses, certification, and training. As such, team member compensation may fall outside this range. Additionally, the compensation range reflects base salary and does not include extra shift rates or incentives tied to quality, productivity, etc., as applicable.
