SECURITY SCREENERS

(JFK Airport)

Starting Pay:

$20-$22/hr.

Essential Responsibilities:

Maintain constant visibility, vigilant awareness, and alertness throughout the shift. Operate an X-ray machine, a walk-through-metal detector, and a hand-held metal detector. Write clear and concise reports. Verify proper identification before granting access to the building. Must be able to screen employees and their belongings and resolve all alarms before authorizing access. Document any inquiries, incidents, or findings in security. Report any criminal or suspicious activities related to the Company’s property, personnel, or operations. Inform the management team of any emergency or security incident to take the necessary measures to resolve the situation.

Basic Qualifications:

Valid US/State ID. Must have a valid NYS Security Guard License. Must be at least 18 years old. Must have authorization to work in the United States. Must complete SIDA and Security Guard training as needed to obtain PANYNJ. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Organizational and time management skills. Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.

Preferred Qualifications & Education :

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Airport security or employee screening experience preferred.
