Saturday and Sunday 3:00pm-11:00pm

POSITION SUMMARY
Ensure the safety and security of residents, employees and the facility.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Make rounds of the facility ensuring all doors and windows are secure.
- Monitor the camera activity as directed.
- Direct visitors to their desired location.
- Throughout the shift, record routine activities on the departmental log.
- Report any unusual occurrences to the supervisor.
- Serve as the contact person to call the police.
- Diffuse situations that may arise so as not to escalate and become uncontrolled.
- Serve as property contact person for all environmental services issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled by supervisor.
- Shovel and salt main entrances and sidewalks during an event according to the Snow Removal Policy to maintain a clear path for emergencies.
- Perform daily tasks as assigned such as collecting all trash and turning off/on lights.
- Assist residents with light maintenance requests i.e., clogged toilet, light bulb that needs to be changed.
- Maintain the high standards of the community by picking up trash when seen on the road, ensure that lights are functioning and keep vehicles clean.
- Respond to all alarms (medical or fire) and assist with fire and emergency evacuation drills.
- Complete all necessary paperwork on a daily basis.
- Perform routine duties including package deliveries, bulb replacements, work orders and any miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Properly maintain and store all tools and equipment and keep workshop clean and orderly.
- Follow all department policies and procedures, including proper use of all PPE issued and attend all departmental meetings and required facility in-services.
- Assume other miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as directed by on call person or Director of Maintenance.

MINIMUM
PREFERRED
Education High School diploma and/or equivalent Experience 6 months previous security experience. 1 year previous security experience in a retirement community or similar. Certifications –
Valid PA Driver’s License Language Ability:
This individual must be able to speak and read the English language in an understandable manner in order to communicate with residents, employees, family members, volunteers and the public. Must have ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from residents and the general public.
Math Ability:
Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Reasoning Ability:
Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

The employee is subject to inside and/or outside environmental conditions such as temperature changes.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This individual must be capable of climbing ladders/stairs using feet and legs and/or hands and arms; must be able to stoop, kneel, bend and crouch. This individual is required to stand for sustained periods of time and is frequently required to walk. The person must be able to push and/or pull using the upper extremities to exert force (i.e., wheelchair), occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and frequently lift up to 20 pounds. Use hands to pick up, finger or feel objects.

As a Life Plan Community, Rockhill offers a continuum of care that includes Residential Living, Personal Care for adults who need assistance with daily activities, and Health Care for individuals in need of 24-hour support. Rockhill also offers Adult Day Services for individuals who need a stimulating place to spend the day. Rockhill’s supportive family empowers residents to live spirited, fulfilling lives exactly as they choose—from active and engaged to peaceful and private. Rockhill consists of 206 independent living units, 53 personal care units, and 90 skilled nursing beds.
