The Unarmed Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring premises, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents as they arise. Duties Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to identify potential security breaches. Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action. Enforce security policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for all individuals on the premises. Provide assistance in conflict management situations, utilizing de-escalation techniques when necessary. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required, providing detailed reports on incidents and observations. Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences. Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance skills in loss prevention, first aid, CPR, and other relevant areas. Experience Previous experience in law enforcement or security roles is preferred but not mandatory. Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable. Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention strategies is an asset. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Military experience may be beneficial for understanding protocols related to security duties.
