PDS Tech Commercial is looking for an Aircraft Technician to join our dynamic Paint team in Columbus, MS. This is a contract opportunity w you’ll play a vital role in ensuring aircraft meet the highest standards of quality and safety by preparing them for painting and priming.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As an Aircraft Paint Prep Technician, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Surface Preparation:

Sanding, masking, filling, and washing aircraft surfaces to prepare them for painting.

Taping:

Ensuring precise taping ofponents to ensure paint is applied only w required.

Cleanliness & Organization:

Keeping the workspace tidy andanized, while adhering to cleanliness standards as directed by leads and supervisors.

Efficient Work Practices:

Maintaining minimal scrap levels while ensuring the highest quality output.

Collaboration:

Working closely with team members to ensure seamless and efficient operations in the paint prep process. What You Bring to the

Role:

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 6 months of painting experience in surface preparation or painting in industrial, automotive, or aviation industries. Ability to follow directives for surface preparation and layout taping. Basic physical abilities to perform lifting, carrying, and maneuvering tools and equipment (up to 30lbs14kgs). Must be able to work with various office and production equipment, including hydraulic lifts, and operate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Aviation-related paint experience is a plus, though not mandatory. A keen attention to detail and amitment to quality in every task. Ready to Take Off? Pay Details:

$17.00 to $26.00 per hour
