Automotive Paint Technician Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Painter to join our busy collision repair shop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for prepping, mixing, and applying paint to vehicles, ensuring a flawless finish that meets factory standards. Key Responsibilities:
Prep vehicles for paint, including masking, sanding, and priming surfaces Mix and match paint colors to achieve precise finishes Apply paint using spray guns and other equipment in a controlled booth environment Inspect work to ensure a high-quality, smooth finish with no imperfections Maintain and clean painting equipment and work area Follow safety procedures and environmental regulations Collaborate with body technicians to ensure seamless workflow and timely repairs
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of professional automotive painting experience required Strong knowledge of paint mixing systems, prep materials, and spray techniques Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship Ability to work independently and in a team setting Experience with waterborne and solvent-based paint systems a plus Valid driver’s license
