Job Title:
Automotive PainterResponsibilities:
Prepare Surfaces:
Clean, sand, and prepare vehicle surfaces to ensure paint and finishes adhere properly.
Fill Dents and Scratches:
Use body filler to repair small dents and scratches, creating a smooth surface.
Mask and Tape:
Mask or tape off areas to avoid overspray and maintain clean lines.
Mix Paint:
Mix paint to achieve the desired color and texture.
Apply Primer and Paint:
Apply primer and finish coats using spray guns.
Blend Colors:
Blend paint into adjacent panels for a seamless color match.
Inspect Work:
Inspect painted surfaces for quality, noting any runs, sags, or unpainted areas.
Touch Up Defects:
Touch up defective areas to ensure a high-quality finish.
Maintain Workspace:
Keep the workspace clean and organized.
Follow Safety Procedures:
Follow all safety and health regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Proven experience as an automotive painter.
Skills:
Knowledge of painting techniques, color matching, and the use of spray guns and other tools.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in automotive painting is often preferred.
Certifications:
ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification or equivalent is beneficial.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$25.00 – $30.00 per hour
