Automotive Technician:

• Located at our Transportation Center, 6400 James A. Reed Rd., Kansas City, MO 64133
• Full-time schedule Monday-Friday (with overtime as needed)
• Comprehensive benefit package, including health, vision, and dental

• 22 days of PTO earned your first year, 12 holidays plus 1 floating holiday per year
• Starting pay range: $23.04/hr. – $30.72/hr. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
• Diagnose and repair automotive/light and medium duty truck systems in accordance with the preventative maintenance schedule.
• Diagnose and repair brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel, ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems to specifications, in a safe and timely manner.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to other technicians, internal and external customers as needed.
• Respond to service requests submitted by drivers regarding the general maintenance or condition of the vehicles.
• Maintain current knowledge of new technical information and techniques through formal training sessions to stay abreast of rapidly changing automotive technology.
• Be available for emergency service in the event of an in-route vehicle breakdown.

The successful candidate will have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 5 to 10 years of Service Technician experience (must provide your own tools)
• Good driving record
• Missouri State Inspector’s permit or the ability to obtain this permit
• Current Refrigeration, Recycling and Recovery certification or the ability to obtain this certification
• Class B CDL with passenger endorsement
• Federal DOT medical certification or the ability to obtain this certification
