Description:
Stephenson Equipment, Inc (SEI), an industry leader in Pennsylvania and New York providing sales, rentals, parts and service for construction equipment, cranes, paving, road building and road maintenance equipment, has an immediate need for Truck Production Shop Technician in our Ebensburg, PA location. Duties include, but are not limited to: Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings. Install truck bodies. Install snow and ice equipment such as hitches, plows and spreaders. Install mobile electrical, lighting, and hydraulic components. Welding of brackets and mounting hardware. Operate forklift on an as needed basis. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Comply with all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.

The best fit to our team will have: Technicians need the ability to lift at least 50lbs with an occasional lift of up to 100lbs with assistance of a crane. Certificate from college or technical school; or 3-6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization Ability to do basic math functions such as add, multiply, and divide. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Most work is performed in a garage environment with moderate to loud noise levels. Temperatures vary from season to season. Job requires extended periods of standing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching depending on the machine that needs maintenance within the 8-10 hour work day.
