Facilities and repair technician Howell Traps Daleville, AL 36322 Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Facilities Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance and operation of our facilities as well as prepare small equipment for repair and sale. This role requires a strong understanding of various technical systems, including 12vdc and 120vac motor controls and schematics, basic hydraulics, electromechanical subassemblies, as well as the ability to perform projects and tasks effectively. The Facilities Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. Responsibilities Supervise maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Maintain and repair equipment, including small machine equipment, small engines, some electrical control subassemblies. Fabricate parts or components as needed for repairs or improvements or work with our vendors to acquire parts. Utilize software to track work orders and inventory (Service fusion/Google calendar). Conduct regular repair/maintenance tasks to maintain the aesthetic quality of facilities. Have and use your own tools such as an Ohmmeter for testing electrical components, specialty screwdrivers/pliers, SAE/Metric wrench sets and power tools. Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively. Perform light welding tasks when necessary for repairs or modifications. Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner while adhering to quality standards. Qualifications Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication skills. Experience in organization of a shop layout and maintaining an inventory system Strong knowledge of facility maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical subassemblies. Familiarity with software for tracking inventory, job and maintenance activities. Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately. Experience in residential construction and 12v/110v industrial maintenance is a plus. Skills in auto repair or troubleshooting electrical issues are highly desirable. Strong problem-solving abilities with a logical approach to troubleshooting. Be able to lift 50 lbs as needed, but forklifts are available onsite for lifting.
