Maintenance Mechanic 2.8 2.8 out of 5 stars 206 Lee St SE, Attalla, AL 35954 If you want to work 4 – ten-hour shifts, then this is the job for you. Some Friday would be available. Hours of the shift are 3pm to 1 am Monday thru Thursday
MAINTENANCE MECHANIC POSITION

Hourly Rate:
$20.48 to $25.34 depending on experience. Plus .65 cents per hour shift premium.
Responsibilities:
Inspect, maintain and repair industrial electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Test and observe equipment and machinery using tools such as voltmeters and other testing devices to diagnose malfunctions and make repairs as needed. Safely operate scissor lifts, forklifts, overhead cranes, power tools, hoists and hand tools. Assess the condition of parts using micrometers, calipers and tape measures. Examine equipment on a daily, weekly and monthly basis for signs of excessive wear, defects and damage. Order or request orders to be placed to replenish materials and parts when inventory grows low or is depleted. Assist with safety inspections as needed. Maintain clean work area. Other duties as outlined by Management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems. Capable of operating hand, power and specialized tools. Forklift experience desired. Welding experience a plus. Available to work overtime as deemed necessary by management. Basic Math skills and basic computer knowledge. Able to work standing and walking for the duration of a 10-hour shift. Mobility to move between work assignments. Ability to repetitively, safely and efficiently lift and carry parts weighing up to 25 pounds, and safely and efficiently lift items weighing 50 pounds (DOT lifting category “medium”). Repetitive twisting, reaching and squatting are all integral to this position. Employees working near equipment with moving parts must have vision correctable to 20/20.
