JR Maintenance Technician 4.9 4.9 out of 5 stars Windsor Locks, CT 06096 Daifuku is an industry leading dedicated provider of maintenance services to airlines throughout North America. Our maintenance services cover the full range of service from 24-hour, 7 day per week on-site service and emergency call out, to periodic maintenance of equipment based on technical visits quarterly, semi-annually, and/or annually with supplementary emergency support and call out as needed. QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum 1 year of previous mechanical experience in any field, or be able to pass a mechanical aptitude test. Valid Driver License. Ability to pass a background check, federal drug screen, and DMV check Ability to work a non-traditional schedule including weekends and holidays.

Entry Level Maintenance Technician Assists varied levels of technicians with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair of Baggage Handling Systems and/or Passenger Boarding Bridges.
RESPONSIILITIES
Assists with basic maintenance assignments involving but not limited to preventive, routine and emergency maintenance, clearing system jams; shift inspections, cleaning, and/or electrical and mechanical adjustments. May diagnose equipment failures under the guidance of senior personnel; ensures equipment is running safely. Takes direction and seeks the guidance and expertise of senior level personnel and accepts training and mentoring from them. Reads and interprets repair manuals, basic schematics and supervisor/manager’s instructions. Works in tight and/or high spaces utilizing appropriate PPE and fall protection equipment. Follows and complies with all company and federally established policies and procedures; completes all applicable training courses assigned by the company Completes forms connected with work assignments according to established procedures. Performs additional duties/assignments as may be required by management. Assists Technicians with basic maintenance such as sweeping, cleaning and greasing.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of a Maintenance Technician the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and work in small spaces. Ladder work required. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 49 pounds. Ability to work in outside weather conditions on an airport ramp around aircraft and the confined areas of baggage conveyor systems.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Works in all areas located on Airport property. May be around dust, dirt, moving machinery, temperature changes, heights and noise levels below OSHA minimum requirements. Use of PPE is required. RTS6548
