The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining production tools, machinery and facilities to ensure efficiency in the day to day operations.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Plan and arrange the sequence of own work to promote efficient operations, meet schedules and expedite special jobs in the midst of constantly changing priorities. Knowledge of all plant equipment. Knowledge of all building and facilities equipment including daily Boiler room control responsibility. Track Preventative Maintenance (PM) records on all equipment Understanding of PM on all equipment Maintain materials inventories to support PM schedule, production needs and facilities needs Work closely with management to complete plant and building projects Work closely with all production employees to maintain production needs Maintain cost effective repair procedures and efficient labor efforts to complete projects Attend beneficial seminars and classes to gain information on the latest technologies Knowledge of tool upkeep, troubleshooting and repair Outside responsibilities including painting, shoveling snow and perimeter upkeep and misc. cleaning. Immediately notify supervision of any potential or actual maintenance or safety problems Work flexible hours to meet company needs Assist other departments as necessary Maintain a safe work environment. Use all safety equipment (hard hats, gloves, eye protection, lock out/tag out etc.) as needed per job. Required skills, abilities and qualifications: High ethics High school diploma or equivalent A good working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical and preventative maintenance Good communications and interpersonal skills Attention to detail Good Communication skills- both verbal, written and email correpondence Ability to read blue prints and electrical schematics A demonstrated ability to work accurately and manage time in the most productive manner A demonstrated history of trustworthiness and good judgment
