ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Maintenance Technician at Nova Tallahassee, you will ensure that our students and tenants enjoy a well-maintained, safe, and welcoming environment. Your responsibilities will include performing routine maintenance and responding to service requests promptly, as well as troubleshooting and repairing various systems. This role offers you the chance to work in a fast-paced, growing student housing community, where every day brings new challenges and opportunities to make a lasting impact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform routine inspections and maintenance of apartments, common areas, and building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances. Address maintenance service requests from residents in a timely and professional manner. Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of systems and equipment to ensure proper functionality. Assist with seasonal property maintenance and improvements to ensure the property remains in top condition. Uphold cleanliness, safety, and regulatory standards throughout the property. Collaborate with the property management team to create a positive and efficient living experience for residents.

QUALIFICATIONS

At least 2 years of experience in building maintenance, preferably in a multiunit or student housing environment. Technical or vocational schooling for HVAC or other related fields preferred.

HVAC & EPA I & II

certifications Strong knowledge of appliance repair, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance tasks. Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing equipment, appliances, and building systems. Proficient in Office Products and Windows operating systems Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with residents and team members. Selfmotivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods. Availability for oncall shifts (afterhours emergencies).
