06/24/2025 Project Coordinator (Facilities Maintenance) Full-time – $22.92/hour Participate in the coordination of the workflow for the Facilities Maintenance Department in order to ensure that all aspects of the development projects are carried out in an effective, efficient and timely manner.
Essential Job Functions:
Schedule, coordinate, and attend meetings with other departments, contractors, developers, applicants and other interested and affected parties ensuring that the needed information is ready, and that all agenda items are covered. Provide information to departments, contractors, applicants and other interested and affected parties regarding the County’s engineering permit processes, procedures and submittal requirements for construction and development. Close out and finalize projects working with other County staff, engineers and inspectors, as well as outside contractors and bonding companies. Performs a range of staff and/or operational support activities; may serve as a liaison with other departments on basic administrative and/or operational matters. Arranges meetings and conferences, schedules interviews and appointments, and performs other duties related to maintaining one or more individual schedules. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the Department Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge of building materials, methods and construction systems. Knowledge of accounting principles relative to budget and costing adherence. Must possess exceptional organizational, computer and communication skills. Must possess construction management methods, standard construction practices and construction contracts and departments. Ability to understand architectural and engineering drawings and specifications related to construction projects. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with consultants, contractors, supervisors and officials. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of office practices and procedures. Ability to gain knowledge of the county’s policies, procedures and practices. Ability to access, input and retrieve information from a computer. Defusing difficult situations and gaining compliance with standards and/or contract terms.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma. Three (3) years secretarial and administrative experience. Previous experience working with the public. Construction background.

Valid Florida Driver’s License
