FULL-TIME MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
•Open now! Private Waterfront Residence (with fishing boat)•Palm Beach, Florida Search by Harper Associates A private family residing in a luxury waterfront estate in Florida is seeking a hands-on, experienced Maintenance Technician to oversee the upkeep and appearance of the home and surrounding property. This is a full-time, year-round position for a trustworthy, detail-oriented professional who takes pride in their work and is proactive in identifying and resolving issues. The property : Saltwater spray and wind cause corrosion of metalwork, damage paint and other finishes, and damage outdoor fixtures like latches and other mechanisms. Will also clean outdoor limestone.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily, weekly, and seasonal maintenance of the property, pressure washing, pool deck cleaning, and dock upkeep
Maintain irrigation systems, outdoor lighting, and minor exterior repairs (fencing, walkways, gates, etc.)
Inspect and maintain outdoor structures such as decks, patios, seawalls, and boat lifts
Oversee general handyman duties including minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC filter changes, and painting
Coordinate and supervise vendors and service technicians as needed
Maintain outdoor equipment, tools, and supplies in good working order
Prepare property for weather-related events (hurricanes, heavy storms, etc.)
Assist with special projects or events held at the residence
Qualifications:
Prior experience working as a maintenance technician, groundskeeper, or estate caretaker, preferably in a private home or luxury waterfront property
Strong knowledge of Florida landscaping, irrigation, and climate-related property concerns
Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
Self-motivated, organized, and proactive with excellent problem-solving skills
Must be discreet, respectful of privacy, and able to work independently
Valid driver’s license and clean background check required
Boating or dock maintenance experience a plus
