Equipment Maintenance Worker (2nd Shift)
Location:
Covington, GA Pay Rate:
$25/hour
Shift:
2nd Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday | Weekends as scheduled (rotational)
Schedule Flexibility:
Required – candidate must be open to alternative shifts and mandatory weekend overtime
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Maintenance Worker with strong electrical, mechanical, and controls experience—particularly in conveyor systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs across a variety of systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and automation.
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct regular facility inspections and resolve maintenance issues. Perform general tasks in painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical systems. Troubleshoot and repair conveyor systems, facility structures, HVAC, and MHE batteries. Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce equipment failure and downtime. Install and set up new equipment and maintain repair supplies inventory. Comply with all safety regulations and quality standards. Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities. Use SAP or other work order systems to track maintenance tickets.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED (Required) 3.5 – 5 years of hands-on, relevant industrial maintenance experience (Required for top pay rate) Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, including: Conveyor system troubleshooting Basic electrical knowledge of: 12V/24V
AC/DC 120V/208V 277V/480V
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook Ability to read technical diagrams and troubleshoot control systems Available to work weekends and alternate shifts as needed
Preferred Skills:
Preventive and predictive maintenance expertise Hands-on experience with various conveyor types (belt, roller, powered, gravity, etc.) Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution/warehouse environment Prescreening Questions (REQUIRED
