Your Role:

Maintenance Team Member The Maintenance Team Member supports the operations team by performing repairs, preventative maintenance, and installations on a variety of industrial equipment. This person plays a vital role in ensuring that all systems remain safe, efficient, and operational. Key Responsibilities Safety Maintain a hazard-free and OSHA-compliant workspace Understand Lock Out/Tag Out and be able to work with and around many different types of equipment Inspect machines and systems regularly for wear, damage, or potential hazards Follow all safety procedures, using PPE and equipment appropriately Quality Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment including: Conveyor belts Chain decks Saws and cutting tools Forklifts, yard dogs, and facility vehicles Pneumatic and hydraulic systems Assist with upgrades, installations, and preventive maintenance tasks Production Support Collaborate with operators, supervisors, and HR to keep production lines running Maintain logs of maintenance activities and ongoing projects Follow all B&B policies and procedures Respond quickly to breakdowns and help minimize downtime Contribute to an organized, clean, and productive work environment Requirements Metal fabrication skills preferred (welding, cutting, grinding, drilling) Familiarity with hand and power tools such as grinders, impacts, drills, sawzalls, etc. Understanding of mechanical systems (chains, belts, pneumatics) Experience working with air lines, hoses, and hydraulics is a bonus Ability to work in tight or elevated spaces (using ladders, lifts, scaffolding) Physically capable of lifting 50-80 lbs Reliable transportation to our Jamesville facility Steel or composite toe footwear (required) Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude Willingness to learn, grow, and take ownership of responsibilities Excellent attendance and punctuality – this is critical to our success Why B&B Lumber?
