Industrial Maintenance Technician Remmey The Pallet Company Lehighton, PA 18235 Job Summary General maintenance of the equipment and facilities at the REMMEY Lehighton plant on 2nd shift. Perform preventive maintenance (PM) program to ensure minimal operational disruption and equipment downtime. Identify need for and recommend repair and/or replacement of equipment and facilities. Keep detailed PM, parts and equipment records for management. Ensure safety and OSHA compliance. All in conjunction with driving the evolution of the processes, policies, procedures and systems necessary to support the organization today and, more importantly, in the coming years as we continue to grow. Responsibilities and Duties Monitor/ inspect equipment, buildings and grounds to identify immediate or potential problems Follow and complete our PM schedule Assist with repair and installation activities Coordinate with all machine and forklift operators to complete repairs and breakdowns in a timely fashion Adhere to Remmey safety standards at all times to ensure a clean and safe work environment Assist with machine changeovers and train operators on proper procedures Qualifications and Skills Strong mechanical aptitude is required Must be able to work Mon-Thurs and partial days on Friday 3+ years of maintenance experience with a strong focus on hydraulic, pneumatic and electric machinery is preferred but not required Welding experience preferred but not required Experience in a pallet shop or manufacturing line (preferred but not required) Ability to operate in a team environment and communicate clearly and effectively with management and fellow team members Strong critical thinking skills and ability to solve practical problems, and deal with a variety of situations in an efficient manner Ability to meet deadlines and hold people accountable while establishing strong relationships Benefits Medical, dental and vision is available after 90 days.
