Facilities Maintenance Blackstone Valley Advocacy Center 727 Central Avenue, Pawtucket, RI 02861 Job Overview The General Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing a variety of routine maintenance tasks to keep buildings, equipment, and grounds in good working condition. This role ensures that the facilities are safe, functional, and presentable for staff, clients, and visitors. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment, systems, and building infrastructure. Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Repair or replace damaged fixtures such as doors, windows, and locks. Conduct basic carpentry, painting, and patching of walls, floors, and ceilings. Ensure that grounds are maintained, including lawn care, snow removal, and trash collection. Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly and effectively. Work with external contractors for larger repairs or installations, as needed. Maintain maintenance logs and ensure compliance with safety and building regulations. Perform routine cleaning tasks as necessary to maintain a safe and clean environment. • Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely and efficiently Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance, with a focus on major operating systems. Proficiency in using tools. Familiarity with logic controllers and the ability to troubleshoot related issues. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
