  • 7:00 am The Spartanburg operationis a state-of-the-art coffee roasting and pod packaging facility inaddition to hosting a full beverage distribution center.

Spartanburg is the largest KDRP manufacturing and distributionlocation. The site will operate on the foundational principles ofTPM (Total Productive Maintenance); leverage the principles of Leanmanufacturing. All associates at the Spartanburg site will haveaccountability to both a functional business unit in addition tothe full site operation. The site will run on first-in-classenterprise IT and manufacturing execution systems with highlyautomated processing, packaging, and material movement equipment.

The Maintenance Technician II at Keurig Dr Pepper will beresponsible for facilitation and leadership to install,troubleshoot, maintain, and improve process and packagingequipment, to maximize production and maintain Keurig Dr Pepper’shigh standards in safety and quality. This role will also beengaged in improving maintenance procedures and manufacturingprocesses for the improvement of safety, quality, delivery, costand culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical

  • Troubleshoot andrepair electrical and mechanical systems on equipment.
  • -Demonstrate troubleshooting capabilities on control systems, servodrives, motors, HMIs, and PLCs on complex high speed packaginglines.
  • Review documentation for maintenance activity using themaintenance database, adequately communicate maintenance issues toappropriate employees (e.g., other maintenance techs, operators,engineers, supervisors, etc.), and properly utilize the maintenanceinventory system.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives inassigned areas by analyzing equipment maintenance history,identifying significant causes of waste, coordinating withappropriate employees to develop root cause analysis (RCA), andproviding maintenance assistance as necessary.
  • Assist inday-to-day support of operators for adjustments, setups, and changeovers
  • Assist other maintenance technicians as required
  • Workwith engineers and vendors on special projects
  • Use machine tools,welding equipment, and measuring devices to modify machinery asneeded
  • Will assist in the training and coaching others on bestpractices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Comply with allsafety policies and procedures and demonstrate safe behaviors atall times.
  • Actively engaged in the coaching of Safety program(s)
  • Maintain a healthful and safe environment and promptly report anyviolations / discrepancies / injuries / incidents to appropriatepersonnel.
  • Compliant with all Safety Training initiatives.
  • -Actively participates in Job Hazard/Risk Analysis. Quality
  • -Understands, complies with, and coaches quality systems, metricsand policies Quality Data System (QDS), Safe Quality Food (SQF),Good Manufacturing Process (GMP), and Hazzard Analysis CriticalControl Point (HACCP). .
  • Actively participates in Root CauseAnalysis (RCA) / Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA) events.

Delivery

  • Cooperating and planning with other shifts toaddress handoff issues
  • Actively escalates line issues /opportunities using the Daily Management System (DMS) escalationprocess.
  • Coach team members on standard maintenance work andprocedures
  • Gathers data on equipment issues to contribute toproblem solving utilizing appropriate Key Performance Indicators(KPIs)
  • Ability to work effectively & rotate into other zonesand/or production lines. Cost
  • Understands costs associatedwith producing cups, to include: labor, scrap, material usagevariance, utilities, spares, and downtime and use this informationto drive the decision making process and level of urgency
  • Actively lead generation of productivity ideas and continuousimprovement teams.
Total Rewards:
  • Pay starting at $35.80 perhour. The employee will move to a higher rate of $37.60 per hour inthe quarter after their 6-month anniversary.

  • Completion of Industrial Maintenance Degree or certificatepreferred.
  • Formal manufacturing maintenance education and/or 3years of related manufacturing maintenance experience
  • -Demonstrates proficient mechanical/electrical skills (Roboticsskills preferred)
  • Ability to read and understand complexinstructions, prints, flowchart, block diagram, and schematics.
  • Ability to competently use and understand precision testing anddiagnostic equipment.
  • Safety conscious and have the ability toperform in an emergency setting.
  • Computer knowledge of Microsoftapplication
  • Ability to get along with others, be punctual,and follow instructions.
  • Ability to follow Keurig Dr Pepperpolicies and procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds on afrequent basis.
  • Ability to constantly lift, bend, stretch andstand during entire shift.
  • Ability to frequently kneel, squat,bend, and stoop, twist, and reach overhead with repetitive motions
  • Ability to spend significant time standing on themanufacturing floor with some frequency of computer work
