Our team has successfully designed and installed advanced audiovisual systems in various settings, including college football stadiums, hotels, resorts, and Houses of Worship. Summary We are seeking a motivated and eager-to-learn Low Voltage Technician to join our dynamic team at Redpoint Audiovisual. In this role, you will get hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a wide variety of systems, including professional audiovisual, networking, surveillance, access control, security, and theatrical lighting systems. This is an entry-level position perfect for an individual looking to build a long-term career in a high-tech field. We are committed to your growth and provide clear, established paths to higher-paid positions such as Lead Technician, Programmer, System Designer/Draftsman, and Estimator. Responsibilities Install, terminate, and test low voltage cabling for various systems, including audio, video, data networks, security, and access control. Assist in the setup and configuration of equipment such as displays, projectors, speakers, surveillance cameras, network switches, and control panels. Learn to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and project documentation under the guidance of senior technicians. Work collaboratively with Project Managers and Lead Technicians to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively. Maintain a clean and safe work environment on all job sites. Provide field service support during and after installations as needed. Requirements A strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude. Eagerness to learn new technologies and installation techniques. Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with hand and power tools. Ability to work on ladders, in lifts, and in various construction environments. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Basic computer skills and a general interest in technology. Excellent problem-solving skills and a high level of attention to detail. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Preferred but Not Required (We will train the right person!): Prior experience in construction, electrical, IT, or any low voltage field. Familiarity with pulling, terminating, or testing cables (e.g., Cat6, speaker wire, coaxial).
