Security Technician Position Available In Durham, North Carolina

Job Description:

Our client needs Service Techs for Raleigh-Durham and the surrounding areas. The techs will be tasked with installing and wiring access control and CCTV systems. Programming experience is not required, but it is preferred. The ability to read prints is required to understand where to install and run cabling to complete the job. Techs should be able to pull cable, hang panels, and know how to wire a lock. If they know how to cut a strike even better. U.S. veterans are preferred. Techs must qualify for the NC Alarm Board license. The pay rate is based on industry experience, certifications, and industry knowledge. Techs must have their own hand tools, drill, and the basic tools needed to run cable, terminate, and drop cables down the wall. Techs will be installing security cameras, electrified and non electrified locks, and access control systems.

Territory and Travel:

Anywhere east of Greensboro within NC. Techs will be given a hotel room and a $45 per diem on jobs outside of a 90-minute drive, one-way. Hotel rooms will be booked through the company. The client estimates that overnight travel will be less than 10%.

Schedule:

Usually, 8am-5pm, M-F. Occasionally, some jobs will require techs to work at night. Night work is estimated at less than 10%.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Looking for someone who can listen to and follow directions very well. Looking for a self-starter who does not need to be watched while working. This person needs to be able to manage the relationships with customers, as they will be the face of our client.
