Job Description
TEKsystems is HIRING – Cable Technicians in the Charleston Area Looking for experience technicians with at least 2+yrs experience running CAT5/6 cabling, installing access points, punching down, and working with low voltage systems Perform structured cabling tasks including installation, termination, and punching down cables (Cat5/Cat6). Install and mount WIFI access points, aiming to pull and mount at least 12 cables and APs per day. Interpret blueprints and understand key symbols on low voltage diagrams. Work in commercial environments such as hospitals and schools, adapting to both construction and healthcare settings. Execute greenfield projects by pulling, punching down, and terminating cables. Maintain existing systems while installing new ones, ensuring seamless transitions. Adhere to high personal and professional standards of conduct to deliver top-notch customer service.
