This role involves working in a state-of-the-art data center, ensuring all components function properly. Based in Woburn, Massachusetts, this exciting new position requires frequent customer-site travel to deploy and service Company-manufactured equipment. Responsibilities Competent in replacing subassemblies and performing system-level tests as required. Suggest and make recommendations for improvement to field service engineers, design engineers, and management as needed. Perform product commissioning and complete handover to customers from start to finish. Complete written repair reports to document the cause of failure(s), description of work performed, materials consumed, and condition of equipment. Conduct customer training on Company cooling products when on-site. Read, understand, and utilize equipment diagrams, checklists, engineering drawings, and other process documentation for service, assembly, and repairs. Perform startups, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and/or preventive maintenance service on all Company products at customer sites. Represent the Company professionally and courteously, adhering to all Company and customer safety requirements. Collaborate closely with the Company’s Project team, including customers and various construction trades, to ensure thermal cooling system installation timelines are met. Approximately 90% travel, often four to five nights away weekly, covering North America with opportunities for international travel. Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of field service experience. 3+ years of working with project teams, contractors, and interfacing with customers. Strong mechanical aptitude & understanding of electromechanical systems and Cooling Distribution Units (CDU) Ability to read and interpret diagrams (dimensions, assembly, electrical, cooling) Ability to regularly use a forklift, ladder, hand tools, power tools, calibrated measurement devices, and hydraulic equipment. Clean Driving Record Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma (or equivalent) Trade School Certification in HVAC/R Field and/or electronics technology. EPA universal certificate Experience with Liquid Cooling technologies. Knowledge of PLC function & interfacing (RS485, Ethernet, etc.).
