GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Connectivity Field Service Technician will be responsible for new system installations and service of existing systems as required.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Work alone or in a small group to complete installation of new systems including factory installs and field installs. Work with golf course management to coordinate the installation of GPS system. Work with golf course IT to set up Wi-Fi network for GPS system. This could include installation of Access Points and running cat5 cable. Perform on-site training and assist customers with new system setup and configuration. Commission system and confirm graphics during on-site installation. Map golf course revisions on as needed bases. This position will support North Carolina and Virginia.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Required Strong knowledge of GPS and Wi-Fi system performance/requirements. Excellent customer facing skills, excellent communicator both verbal and written. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with weekly deadlines. Strong work safety – make Safety First approach. Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI in the previous 5 years Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 5 years. Recommended Proficiency with light-hand tools and strong computer skills. Experience with setting up and troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Travel and over-night lodging as required for project related work. Ability to lift 40 lbs., frequent bending and being on feet for more than 6 hours per day.
