Full Job Description Overview:
Piper Tech is hiring Heavy Equipment Installation Technicians for a 16-week travel-based project covering the Mid-Atlantic and North-East regions. This is a 1099 contractor position, with full travel required. Technicians will be dispatched from our Raleigh, NC office. High-performing candidates may be offered a permanent role after the project concludes.
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams Accurately measure and confirm layout requirements on-site Communicate clearly and professionally with customers Install equipment and relocate large hardware or devices Use hand and power tools to perform installations Travel to various job sites throughout the
Mid-Atlantic and North-East Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in construction or equipment installation Ability to use and operate basic power tools (e.g., hammer drill, screwdriver, drill) Must own basic installation tools (screwdrivers, sockets, snips, drill, etc.) Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Ability to pass a background check Physically able to lift up to 100 lbs. and perform work that involves standing, sitting, or crouching for extended periods
Position Type:
Independent Contractor (1099) Full-time during project period (travel required) Potential for permanent employment after project completion Rate of pay: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour Hourly rate will be commensurate with experience level
