Service Foreman 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars 2023 Wendell Boulevard, Wendell, NC 27591 Hale Trailer Brake & Wheel, Inc is a multi-location, full-service trailer dealership with an immediate opening at its Raleigh, NC branch location. We are looking for a Working Shop Foreman with trailer mechanic experience to join our team of trailer professionals.

Responsibilities:

Lead supervisor in heavy duty equipment shop. Train and guide all staff mechanics with varying levels of skill with internal and customer repairs. Works alongside mechanics to ensure they are performing timely, quality jobs. Work to identify, resolve and repair cause of breakdowns. Estimate cost of repairs and prepares itemized service order, listing costs of parts and labor. Serve as a liaison between management, mechanics and customers. Oversee the work of mechanics to achieve excellent customer service and customer satisfaction. Responsible for enforcing all safety procedures at all times to help prevent accidental injuries and damage to heavy duty equipment. Direct, assist and structure shop activities. Responsible for keeping schedule for shop repairs fluent and efficient. Communicate with customers regarding their options, so they can make informed decisions about what work they want performed. Perform tasks in an efficient, timely, accurate, professional, and safe manner in accordance with all Company polices, DOT, OSHA and other governmental standards and regulations.

Requirements:

Must have min 3-5 years meaningful / practical work experience as a heavy equipment mechanic with a proven background in a supervisory role. Must have a strong knowledge regarding the safe handling and operation of trailers and/or tractors and mechanical aptitude. Must present a professional, highly motivated, positive, results-oriented, problem-solving attitude. Must have good communication skills and be proficient on the computer. Must be able to work independently in a fast paced and dynamic environment. Must adhere to all Company policies including safety policies. Must pass a standard pre-employment drug test.
