Road Heavy Equipment Mechanic 4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars 749 Clawson Avenue, Hillsborough, NJ 08844 Kyle Conti Construction is seeking a dependable, experienced, and hard-working individual for a full-time position as a Heavy Equipment Road Mechanic . This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining construction equipment —often on-site or at job locations. The position may include overtime and night work as needed. Experience repairing Excavators, Dozers, Rollers, Dump truck, Paving Equipment is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Core duties and responsibilities, among others, include the following:

• Perform on the road repairs and maintenance on all makes and models of heavy equipment and company vehicles (including but not limited too – miller, paver, excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, trucks, etc.);
• Trouble shoot all issues and malfunctions with machinery;
• Clean and maintain all equipment, machinery, tools and the general shop area.
• Perform visual inspections on machines and report conditions/deficiencies.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:

Strong knowledge of heavy equipment systems , including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and electrical systems. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair. Clean driving record; CDL a plus. Proven ability to diagnose and perform equipment repairs in field conditions with minimal supervision. Skilled in reading technical manuals and interpreting schematics. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex mechanical and electrical issues. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for conveying technical information clearly.
