This position is responsible for installation of HVAC systems including lay out of roof penetrations, ducting and the lay out of sheet metal fittings following customer specifications, applicable building code and proper piping practices
Responsibilities
Provides support on HVAC construction job by reading and interpreting blues as needed by foreman to ensure a timely and qualitypletion of the project.
Provides the required laying out of the roof penetrations and ducting; and, laying out of the sheet metal fittings as directed by the foreman.
Provides assistance to the Construction foreman as needed on the job.
Provides support by coordinating and following job schedules; i.e., labor hours, and material costs.
Performs other related duties and projects as assigned by management
Qualifications
High school diploma and trade or technical school classes; 4+ years experience in the construction industry, and hands on field experience inmercial HVAC construction; and major market remodeling.
Knowledge of

UMC/SMACNA

requirements.
Knowledge ofmercial HVAC construction products and tools.
Knowledge of refrigeration equipment
Knowledge of blues, detailing HVAC duct fittings.
Ability to grease duct weld, andplete minor electrical installation.
Ability toplete sheet metal layouts and fabrications, good mechanical skills.
Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to wire installations.
Knowledge of carpentry.
Knowledge of refrigeration systems and piping of refrigeration equipment.
Knowledge of plumbing and pipe fittings, and ability to pipe refrigeration equipment.
Knowledge of and ability to read blues on refrigeration, electrical and plumbing.
Ability to hang evaporation coils and install overhead hangers.
Ability to use hand and power tools and good mechanical skills.
Knowledge of jobsite safety, ability to oversee work activities to ensure safe work practices and safety rulepliance.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
