HVAC Mechanic urgent need $95000 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars Burlington, MA 01803 Our top long term client is seeking an Hvac mechanic..This position is part of a property management team responsible for the oversight of two million plus sq. ft. of commercial real estate. Responsibilities of Hvac mechanic for properties: Maintaining assigned portfolio assets at peak operating performance while also focusing on enhancements and cost savings opportunities. This role requires self-motivation, a strong work ethic, and experience with great communication skills as you will be responsible for the HVAC maintenance and service calls. Requirements of Property Hvac Mechanic Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems; includingmaintenance, electrical, plumbing, energy management systems and other building mechanical equipment, heat pumps, chiller plants and cooling towers. Must be able to complete repairs and scheduled maintenance on all types of HVAC units and equipment . Ability to troubleshoot heating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems to determine and repair the cause of any given malfunction. Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance and use ladders. Ability to check distribution systems for proper velocity, volume, temperature, pressure, etc . Assist in training other technicians and staff in preventative maintenance of HVAC systems Ability to follow OSHA safety rules/procedures; avoid known hazards in the work environment. Reviewany and all safety procedures before beginning each job with known hazards. . Prioritizes-avoidance of injury or property damage above all other job requirements Ability to complete inspections, vendor coordination/oversight and site safety. Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle. Must keep vehicle up to date on all maintenance requirements. Must maintain an accurate part and tool inventory. Strong team orientation with excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to deal successfully with personnel, tenants, and vendors on all levels. Manage portfolio HVAC code required compliance testing Coordinate and communicate with Construction Management division for construction projects. Assist with building O&M and as-built organization. Ability to manage several projects simultaneously through self-motivation, high energy, flexibility and excellent organizational skills One-week 24/7 on call rotation every 6 weeks Qualifications, Education, Skills & Attributes of Hvac Mechanic Minimum 5 years of significant experience in commercial HVAC work High School Diploma Experience in a life science environment is a plus Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, including an ability to quickly learn specific property management software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. MA refrigeration technician license Experience operating controls systems Ability to prioritize and complete repairs Ability to participate in a 24/7 on call rotation Ability to work off hours when HVAC shutdowns are required OHSA 10- or 30-hour training Valid drivers license is required. Ability to pass a background check Ability to pass a drug test Strong work ethic, attention to detail and ownership-type qualities.
