JOB DESCRIPTION
HVAC Certified Technician
QUALIFICATIONS
Certification in HVAC
Proven knowledge in all phases of maintenance, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.
Such alternatives to the above as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
REPORTS TO
Transportation and Maintenance Director
SUPERVISES
Maintenance Helper
JOB GOAL
To help maintain the physical school plants in a condition of operating excellence so that full educational use of the facilities may be made at all times
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
All general maintenance, including but not limited to the following: HVAC repairs and replacement primary responsibility
Assumes responsibility for determining the proper approach in making repairs
Plumbing repairs and replacement
Electrical repairs and replacement
Carpentry repairs
Construction projects
Other duties as assigned by the Transportation and Maintenance Director
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Terms of employment shall be consistent with the law relating to employment by a school system in the State of Alabama. Twelve-month year, with a salary scale established by the Board for this position.
EVALUATION
The performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board’s Policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.
