Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Assistant Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance team in ensuring equipment runs efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of electrical systems, basic mechanical skills, and the ability to follow preventive maintenance schedules. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Use a meter to check voltage and fuses Assist in troubleshooting and maintaining equipment operating on commercial voltage (including 480V/240V, three-phase systems) Perform basic mechanical work and support the upkeep of air compressor systems Read and interpret basic blueprints and technical drawings Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance tasks based on PM sheets Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner Support the maintenance team with repairs, inspections, and facility upkeep Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
Qualifications:
Basic understanding of electrical systems and commercial voltage Ability to use voltage meters and diagnostic tools Familiarity with air systems and mechanical components Ability to read and understand blueprints and PM documentation Strong work ethic and ability to perform under pressure Willingness to learn and take direction Prior experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting is a plus
Working Conditions:
