Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled maintenance team member to join our team at Twin Ells Campground in West Chazy, NY. The ideal candidate is self-motivated with a strong work ethic and good communication skills. This is a physically demanding role that may require lifting heavy objects, working outdoors in various weather conditions, and operating machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine property maintenance tasks, including RV site checks, clean up, and repairs, to ensure the smooth operation of facilities within the RV park. Conduct regular inspections of park facilities, equipment, and grounds to identify areas in need of maintenance or repair. Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks, such as painting, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and HVAC system maintenance. Follow checklists and maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work completed. Monitor and maintain park equipment, such as tools, supplies, golf cart to ensure they are in good working condition. Resolve maintenance requests promptly, ranging from RV site issues, clean up, minor electrical and plumbing repairs to overseeing major repairs if needed. Maintain park grounds, including fences, gates, mowing lawns, trimming shrubs, and cleaning common areas to create a visually appealing and safe environment for guests. Perform pool maintenance to keep our pool pristine and inviting. Manage and respond to maintenance emergencies, even outside regular business hours. Enforce safety protocols and regulations, identifying and mitigating potential hazards to maintain a secure environment for both guests and staff.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Must have a valid driver’s license. Previous experience in general maintenance, construction, particularly in an RV park or similar setting, strongly preferred. Pool maintenance experience preferred but not required Experience in electrical and plumbing maintenance preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team management and guest interactions. Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed. Knowledge of safety procedures and a commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.
Physical Requirements:
Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and occasionally perform physically demanding tasks. Physical ability to stand, walk, and operate equipment. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds regularly. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, crouch and climb. Able to work outdoors frequently and in various climates. Capable of moving safely over uneven terrain.
