Maintenance Assistant 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars 5 Dr Frank Pressly Dr, Due West, SC 29639 Maintenance Assistant is responsible for the general maintenance operations for exterior and interior of the community as assigned by the Maintenance Director. Renders quality maintenance services which meet resident needs and services and enhance safety. Position reports to the Maintenance Director.

Essential Job Functions:

Assists the Maintenance Director with maintaining accurate records to include serial numbers of all equipment. Assists the Maintenance Director with Preventive Maintenance and Energy Conservation Programs Maintains a clean and orderly work area free of hazards. Maintain lawns, shrubs, flower beds, and all aspects of the grounds. Complies with community policies and procedures. Provides assistance to other employees to contribute to the smooth operation of the department and community. Demonstrates knowledge of emergency and safety procedures. Must be able to relate to residents, guests, and staff in a courteous and diplomatic manner under all circumstances. To be helpful and considerate of all departments and to assist them in an emergency. Perform related duties as assigned. The ability to read and write English. The ability to lift at least 50 pounds. Must be able to relate to residents and staff in a courteous and diplomatic manner under all circumstances. Must have 2-step PPD and be in good physical health and free of communicable disease. Successful criminal background check and drug testing required. Maintenance Assistant will work directly with the Maintenance Director for the general maintenance of the exterior and interior of the community as assigned. Position is 20-25 hours per week. Must be at least 21 years old. Must be able to operate carpet cleaner, lawn mowers, blowers, tractors and other maintenance machines. Must be able to work with some hazardous chemicals.
