Maintenance Laborer Maryville Housing Authority Maryville, TN 37801 Maryville Housing Authority is looking for full-time thorough Maintenance Laborer with excellent cleanliness standards to attend all areas of our facilities. The goal is to enhance the resident experience by keeping our facilities in clean and orderly condition.

Basic job functions:

Clean and maintain buildings and grounds. Vacuums and cleans Carpets, floors, walls, and furniture; cleans laundry rooms; offices; kitchens; halls; stairways, and meeting rooms. Cleans units after move-outs; paint, sweeps, mops, strips, and waxes floors; cleans windows; loads and unloads cleaning and polishing equipment and materials Prepares rooms for meetings Performs related tasks as required. This is medium work requiring the exertion of 50 pounds or force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Work requires climbing, balancing, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling lifting, and grasping; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for the operation of machines, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities; the worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, noise, vibration, hazards, and oils. The worker may be exposed to blood-borne pathogens and may be required to wear specialized personal protective equipment.
