Lakeland, FL Position Description Responsible for successfully leading the facility and equipment maintenance, repair, installation, and upkeep as well as regulatory compliance. This position works with multiple department managers as well as vendors and suppliers to support operations in providing exceptional service to our customers and directs a culture of continuous improvement through process improvement, best practices, measurement and accountability. This position also coordinates with necessary regulatory agencies, interfaces with auditors and inspectors and with internal resources to ensure compliance with all federal, state, local and company requirements and programs. Responsibilities Maintenance and Facility Management Directly manages all facility maintenance and equipment procurement, repairs, maintenance, and installation Manages approximately 60-65 associates in a 2.3 million sq. foot campus of multiple warehouses and other buildings Manages team members to execute operational goals and expectations. Reviews team performance via frequent feedback and formal performance reviews Oversees vendors and contractors to minimize productivity disruptions Directly responsible for building maintenance to include electrical, structural maintenance as well as sanitation. Directly responsible for MHE fleet, packaging equipment, and automated/robotic equipment repairs and maintenance for location Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations and all Saddle Creek policies and procedures regarding safety and compliance Develops recommendations for purchases including facility supplies, equipment and services Conducts solicitation of new vendors, analyzes bids and negotiates agreements with service providers Manages all service vendors to ensure compliance with service agreements Performs basic inspections, checks, and audits related to safety, security, and fire suppression, to include knowledge of fire extinguishers, riser dump valves, pump testing and system maintenance Manages AIB program for the location and facilitates the actual audit Qualifications Education/Experience 10+ years of experience of progressive facility/machinery/equipment maintenance experience in a warehouse, manufacturing or distribution environment. Food Grade experience is preferred Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 5+ years of supervisory experience directly supervising or managing a team of salaried and hourly associates, preferably maintenance and sanitation associates. Experience negotiating and managing vendor service agreements Experience managing facilities and/or equipment maintenance in a construction, distribution, manufacturing, or fleet maintenance setting Excellent verbal and written communication skills Must demonstrate collaborative leadership skills to influence and manage change Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet, web-based and job specific software applications. Possess good time management and decision-making skills and have the ability to prioritize duties in a high-stress environment. High school diploma or GED required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Hands-on leader accustomed to participating in maintenance activities as needed with practical experience and a solid mechanical aptitude Ability to build strong working relationships with all levels of management Ability to lead others in a positive working environment and to grow and develop employees Proven ability to successfully meet deliverables and excel in a fast paced and challenging environment Ability to negotiate, make recommendations and prepare written proposals Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate and present information to employees at all levels Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and other diagrams Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, including, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to travel occasionally as required Solid judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills Must have a proven record of taking initiative and responsibility, both individually and as a member of a team Experience writing detailed policies and procedures and process flow documents Process improvement and continuous improvement experience #LI-SB1 .
