Job Description
Automotive Service Manager 2.9 2.9 out of 5 stars 4 S White Horse Pike, Stratford, NJ 08084 Echelon Ford is looking for an experienced Service Manager. Individual must have knowledge of warranty policy and procedures and possess the ability to run a high volume service center. Aggressive Pay plan based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily operations of the service department to ensure efficiency, productivity, and profitability Supervise and support service advisors, technicians, and support staff Set and monitor department goals and KPIs, including labor sales, productivity, and CSI scores Ensure customer satisfaction by handling escalated service issues and maintaining strong relationships Monitor and improve workflow, scheduling, and shop capacity utilization Conduct regular performance reviews and coach staff for continuous improvement Maintain compliance with dealership, manufacturer, and safety policies Work with parts and sales departments to support cross-departmental efficiency Oversee warranty processing and manufacturer communications Analyze financial reports and service metrics to identify areas of improvement Hire, train, and develop service personnel as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 3-5 years of service department experience in a dealership setting Proven leadership and team management experience In-depth knowledge of vehicle repair, service operations, and dealership systems Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills Proficiency with dealership software (e.g., Automate, CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds) ASE certifications or manufacturer certifications are a plus Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
